How do I enable camera permissions on iPhone / Android?Updated an hour ago
If your mem-re experience requires camera access and it’s not working, here’s how to enable camera permissions on both iPhone and Android.
iPhone
For the Camera app:
- Open Settings
- Scroll down and tap Camera
- Make sure the camera is enabled
For Safari or another browser:
- Open Settings
- Scroll down and tap Safari (or your browser of choice)
- Tap Camera and select Allow
If a website already asked and you denied it:
- Open Settings → Safari → Camera
- Set to Allow
- Go back to the experience and refresh the page
Android
For Chrome or your default browser:
- Open Settings → Apps
- Find and tap Chrome (or your browser)
- Tap Permissions → Camera
- Select Allow only while using the app
If a site already denied camera access in Chrome:
- Open Chrome and tap the three dots in the top right
- Go to Settings → Site Settings → Camera
- Find the mem-re site in the blocked list and tap Allow
A few things to know
- Not all mem-re experiences require ongoing camera access. Some go straight to an action hub after the initial QR scan and don’t use AR.
- Steps may vary slightly by device and OS version. If the steps above don’t match exactly what you see, search your device settings for “Camera permissions” to find the right location.
