Why isn't the QR code working?Updated an hour ago

If the QR code on your mem-re product isn’t scanning, a few things could be causing it. Try the steps below in order.

Troubleshooting steps

1. Use your phone’s native camera app
Don’t use a third-party QR scanner. Open the default camera app on your iPhone or Android and point it at the code — a link should appear automatically.

2. Check your camera permissions
If your camera app isn’t responding or no link appears, make sure camera access is enabled. On iPhone, go to Settings → Camera and ensure it’s turned on. On Android, go to Settings → Apps → Camera → Permissions.

3. Improve lighting and distance
Make sure the QR code is well-lit and hold your phone steady about 6–10 inches away. Avoid scanning at an angle.

4. Clean the code surface
If the product has been handled a lot, fingerprints or smudges on the QR code can interfere with scanning. Give it a gentle wipe and try again.

5. Try a different device
If the code still won’t scan, try using a different phone to rule out a device-specific issue.

A few things to know

  • Not all Eventshop products include a mem-re experience. If your product doesn’t have a QR code, it may not include a digital experience.
  • Damaged codes may not be recoverable. If the QR code is physically damaged and won’t scan on any device, reach out to our Support team and we’ll see what we can do.
  • Still not working? Contact our Support team with your event details, product type, and a photo of the QR code and we’ll investigate.
