If a small card or prompt appeared on your iPhone screen when you scanned your mem-re product, that’s an App Clip — and it’s how the mem-re experience is accessed!
What is an App Clip?
An App Clip is a lightweight mini-app that Apple allows to launch instantly without a full app download. When you scan a QR code or tap an NFC chip on a mem-re product, your iPhone may automatically display an App Clip card at the bottom of your screen. Tapping it launches the experience immediately.
App Clips are designed to be fast and frictionless. You get the full experience without having to visit the App Store, download anything, or create an account.
How to use it
- When the App Clip card appears at the bottom of your screen, tap Open
- If prompted, allow any permissions the experience needs (such as camera access for AR)
- Your mem-re experience will launch from there
A few things to know
- App Clips are iPhone only. Android devices don’t support App Clips. If you’re on Android, your experience will open in your browser instead, and the content is exactly the same.
- Not all mem-re experiences use App Clips. Some may open directly in Safari or another browser depending on how the experience was built.
- Not all Eventshop products include a mem-re experience. App Clips only appear on products that have a mem-re digital experience attached.
