What is the AR experience and how do I use it?Updated an hour ago
If your mem-re product includes an AR moment, you’re in for something special. Here’s what augmented reality is and how to use it.
What is AR?
Augmented reality (AR) overlays digital content — like video, animation, or graphics — onto your physical product through your phone’s camera. When you scan or tap your mem-re product and an AR experience launches, your camera will activate and digital content will appear on your screen as if it’s in the room with you.
How to use it
- Scan the QR code or tap the NFC chip on your product to launch the experience
- If prompted, allow camera access
- Point your camera at your physical product
- The AR content will appear on your screen — move your phone around to explore it
A few things to know
- Not all mem-re experiences include AR. Some products go straight to an action hub with videos, photos, and other content. Whether your experience includes AR depends on the partner and product.
- Good lighting helps. AR works best in a well-lit environment. If the experience isn’t detecting your surface, try moving to a brighter area.
- Camera permission is required. AR needs your camera to work. If you’re prompted to allow camera access, tap Allow to continue.
- Not all devices support AR equally. Older devices may have limited AR capabilities. If the AR moment isn’t loading, try accessing the experience on a newer device.
